I can't begin to describe how Dr. Carpenter gave me my life back. Had microdiscectomy surgery with Neurosurgeons of NJ in Sept. 2023. This took care of the sciatica I had but did not address other underlying issues. Still in pain 6 mos later, went back to Neurosurgeons of NJ and described the pain I was still feeling. Their options were lumbar fusion or pain management. Went for a second opinion from Advanced Spine Ctr in Morristown, same recommendation. Not happy with those options, I went for a third opinion with Dr. Carpenter. After carefully reviewing my case, he did not feel that lumbar fusion was necessary and performed a 4 hr surgery to correct what he felt was the issue. He and Dr. Amanda Carpenter corrected the issue and I feel like a new man. Had I not gone to see Dr. Carpenter, I still would have been in a lot of pain and looking at a lumbar fusion. He and Dr. Amanda were fantastic, keeping me posted the entire time. Answered all my questions and were with me throughout the whole process. Can't say enough about these amazing doctors!!

I was in town for work. A couple of days after arriving my lower back really started to hurt. So bad, I could not stand up straight. Not from New Jersey , I went to a walk in clinic, once the ( ER) twice, over a three week period. Did not feel better at all. Went back to the (ER) again. Finally got a Dr to list to me . He ran a few more tests. He came to the room with Dr Carpenter,and told me I had absences around my spine in my lower back and surgery is scheduled for the next day. My wife was flying as I had surgery. Dr Carpenter called my wife and kept her updated until she arrived. I feel so much better. Dr Carpenter explained everything to me prior to surgery and said she would keep my wife updated. Feels good to be walking normal again. I am thankful and blessed Dr Carpenter was working that day. She is the best!

Dr. Armanda Carpenter is a remarkable neurosurgeon. She is kind and considerate. I had severe lumbar stenosis for many years. I had tried pain management treatments, injections. I had minimally invasive lumbar decompression procedure done in July 2022. After the procedure my pain was getting worse, a year and half later I had difficult with walking. I went to see Dr. Amanda Carpenter for consultation and treatment. Dr. Amanda and Dr. Duncan Carpenter did a successful lumbar spine fusion and laminectomy procedures on me in August, 2024. After eight month, now I can resume light duty gardening, walking and traveling. I am so thankful that Dr. Carpenter did my surgery.

Dr. Carpenter is one of the best surgeons we have ever encountered. She is beyond patient and kind. When my dad initially met Dr. Carpenter, she explained with great knowledge the condition my dad had and what would need to be done to hopefully fix it. She never pressured him and instead, made him feel comfortable in making the difficult decision to have spinal surgery. We were terribly anxious and nervous prior to the surgery and Dr. Carpenter kindly met with my whole family to answer all of our questions and concerns. She never made us feel rushed and took her time in explaining the procedure and put all of us at ease. After the surgery, she came to check on my dad daily, whether in person or via phone. The level of attention and genuine care she showed my dad is so appreciated and honestly refreshing. We are so grateful for Dr. Carpenter and only wish all surgeons were more like her.

Dr. Amanda worked on me with Dr. Duncan Carpenter and they did an amazing job. While other "top doctors" were telling me I needed lumbar fusion and/or pain management, Dr. Amanda and Dr. Duncan Carpenter did not agree with their assessment and explained what they felt they needed to do to correct my issues, After a 4hr surgery, I am pain free, walking upright and I feel I have my life back. She was amazing to talk to, explained everything very clearly, took her time, I never felt rushed and now I can resume my active lifestyle thanks to Dr. Amanda.

Dr Carpenter is a wonderful doctor who listens and respects her patients. She talks and gets to know you personally and makes sure you feel comfortable and confident about being in her care. A great Dr who learns your issues and thoroughly goes over them closely with you. Her-medical staff is very caring also.I would recommend Dr Carpenter to all my friends and family.
